Presumably, imprudence of the young people picking raspberries in the woods caused a fire the in Shahdag National Park in the Gabala region of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry reported.
The fire occurred in the Gabala region Aug. 13. The fire covered four hectares. The fire was eliminated through the efforts of the Ecology Ministry, Emergency Situations Ministry's Shamakhi Region Department, and the Gabala Region Fire Department. The Emergency Situations Ministry's helicopter has also been involved at the scene.
The Ecology Ministry encourages the public to be cautious when dealing with fire and observe fire safety rules.
