Azerbaijan plans to open new TV channel

Azerbaijan plans to open a new channel, designed for our compatriots abroad.
It will be possible to watch the new channel in any country in the world, the working group on preparation of the State Program On the use of Azerbaijani language in the context of globalization, in accordance with the requirements of time and the development of linguistics in the country told Trend.
"Our compatriots living abroad will be able to get information about Azerbaijan from a single channel. Regardless of where they live, they will be well aware of the compatriots living in other countries," the working group said.
The Working Group also proposed changes to the theme and direction of transmission, broadcasted from Azerbaijan, improve their quality and organization of lessons on broadcasted TV channels.
In addition, the opening of Azerbaijani schools in areas where Azerbaijanis live abroad is included in the plans of the working group.
President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree On the State program on the use of Azerbaijani language in the context of globalization, in accordance with the requirements of time and the development of linguistics in the country on May 23, 2012.
