On July 26 the first workshop was held within 11-day series arranged by propaganda department with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan.
Trend reports the first workshop was devoted to functions and authorities of the ministry and spheres it covers. Answering the workshop participant question regarding accountability for trees chopping in Baku, chief of legal department with the Ministry Maarif Mamedov, in particular, said in case chopped trees cost more than 2.2mln manat, responsible persons are brought to criminal accountability, if less then to administrative.
Chief of sector with propaganda department Shovket Bekirov said during these 11 workshops lasting till August 9 the participants will listen to employees of the Environment Protection Department, woods Development Department, Biodiversity Department and other departments with the Ministry.
