The Azerbaijani Team on Greek-Roman Wrestling is expected to take part in a large-scale international tournament, which is to start in the Iranian City of Meshed on January 27.
As Trend reports, the team include Zakir Abdullayev, the prize-winner of the European Youth Championship AND Zakit Jalilov (60 kg both), Elmatdin Abdullayev (74 kg), Javidan Hassanov and Fariz Aghasiyev (84 kg both), Jalal Bakhadurov and Aydin Safarov (96 kg both). The team also includes those sportsmen who showed their worth in the recent the Azerbaijan Championship. They have obtained an opportunity to prove themselves in the international arena.
Notably, simultaneously with the Iranian tournament, another prestigious one will start in Kretel, where our Athens Olympic Champion, Farid Mansurov (66kg), Azerbaijan's best athlete in 2006, Rovshan Bayramov (55 kg), and the European Champion 2005, Vitaly Rahimov were departed for.
