Ilgar Hajjiyev, the Chairman of the Moscow City Organization of the All-Russian Congress of Azerbaijanis, informed Trend that a delegation consisting of responsible persons of the Azerbaijan Interior Ministry, Population Social Protection Ministry, and State Committee for Affairs with Azerbaijanis Living Abroad is paying a visit to Moscow to get acquainted with migration problems our compatriots who live and work in Russia face.
The official representatives of Azerbaijan visited the staff in Moscow with the aim to render social aid to Azerbaijanis, talked to our compatriots who appealed to the staff. He also met with the leadership of the All-Russian Congress of Azerbaijanis in its head-office. Then, the Azerbaijani officials visited some bazaars, where they got acquainted with the activity and problems of Azerbaijanis. The representatives of Azerbaijan also met officials of the Russian Interior Ministry, Federal Migration Service, and held a discussion concerning the situation with our compatriots living and working in the country according to the temporary registration and without it. A representative of the Azerbaijan Interior Ministry proposed to the Russian party to loosen up some requirements toward migrants in Russia. Moreover, the Azerbaijan party suggested loosening the ban on work for those migrants who indicated in their migration list that they had come to Russia with another objective.
