Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr I. Alizadeh / The Azerbaijan Minister for Education, Misir Mardanov, reported on 2 May that the development of the Law on Education had been completed. The Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani parliament) took into consideration all the shortcomings of the project indicated by the Ministry.
Mardanov noted that he had recently held a meeting with the chairman of the Parliamentary Permanent Commission on Science and Education, Shamsaddin Hajiyev. "We discussed all units of the Law in detail. I believe the Law is ready to be considered," the Minister added.
The last proposals of the Ministry regarding the draft law dealt with its editing. "The Law will play an important part in the settlement of problems in the field of education,' Mardanov noted.
