Azerbauijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Ilhamgizi / Ali Aliyev, the Co-Chairman of the Azadlyg Political Bloc and head of the Citizen and Development Party of Azerbaijan, has stated that a document will be submitted to the Parliamentary Assembly of Europe of Council (PACE) by Azerbaijani society, creators of the citizen society, political parties, and media.
According to Aliyev, the document will affect the present situation of Azerbaijani media and freedom of speech, as well as pressure on journalists.
The document will be submitted to the international structure for discussion during PACE's June session.
The document outlines demands from the Council of Europe prohibiting Judges, who passed unfair sentence towards journalists, to leave the country.
Aliyev noted that the document will sign heads of opposition parties, including a range of journalists, journalist organizations and defenders.
Presently, seven Azerbaijani journalists have been incarcerated.
