The petroleum coke produced at the Heydar Aliyev Refinery of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) is already exported to China, ADY Express LLC told Trend.
According to the company, a subsidiary of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, ADY Express LLC, transports this cargo to the Georgian port of Poti.
Coke, loaded into gondola cars at Keshla station, is transported to the port of Poti, where it is loaded onto a ship and delivered by sea to the destination country, reads the company's message.
ADY Express noted that out of 27,000 tons of coke, 15,742 tons in 245 cars have already been transported. It is planned to transport 11,258 tons of cargo for the period from November through December 2020.
As reported, the provision of wagons is provided by Azerbaijan Railways CJSC and ADY Express LLC.
The message said that the transportation of such goods from Azerbaijan to China will continue in the future.
The terms of the agreement will be announced by early 2021, added the company.
