BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 20. A total of 1.3 million taxpayers have been registered in Azerbaijan as of October 2022, 87.5 percent of them are individuals, and 12.5 percents are legal entities and organizations, Trend reports via State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan.
The total number of taxpayers increased by 6.6 percent, including individuals - by 6.3 percent, and legal entities - by 9.2 percent compared to the same period the previous year.
Some 11,515 commercial organizations were registered in Azerbaijan from January through September 2022, which is 33.5 percent more than in the same period last year. Of these, 71.3 percent were registered in electronic form.
Moreover, companies with local investments accounted for 76.1 percent of registered commercial enterprises, and local companies with foreign investments - had 23.9 percent.
