The management ofMoscow office of international Cushman & Wakefield real estate company offered the administration of Uzbekistan’s capital of Tashkent their services in creating urban infrastructure, Trend reports citing Tashkent administration’s press service.
At a meeting with the administration, the company presented a draft project "Tashkent 2030 - a prosperous city."
According head of the delegation, General Director and Managing Partner of the Moscow office of the company Sergey Ryabokobylko, in 10 years the economic development of Tashkent will face restrictions due to the lag in the capital’s infrastructure. The leadership of the city needs to think about the development of this area today, he said.
According to the delegation from Russia, under the project, Tashkent will become the administrative and financial center, leading in the region as a generator of ideas. In addition, the capital will be a showcase of “opened to the world“ Uzbekistan.
Based on this, the company’s experts proposed to create: a map of commercial real estate in Tashkent, which will be useful for the development of the rental market for non-residential premises; a large wholesale and trading hub located on the border of the city; and 11 regional zones equidistant from the center, free from residential buildings and with good infrastructure, which will provide the same conditions to all residents of the city, regardless of place of residence.
The company also offered its services in creating urban public spaces including embankments, parks, boulevards and open-air museums.
The parties intend to continue cooperation, read the message.
Cushman & Wakefield, founded in 1917 in the United States, specializes in commercial real estate and 72 percent of the company is owned by Rockefeller.
The company is headquartered in New York, and has about 400 offices in 70 countries. The Russian representative office has been working in Moscow since 1995.
