Azerbaijan, Baku, 7 April / Trend corr S. Babayeva/ In Jan-Feb, the industrial production in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan (NAR) has reached about AZN 28.5mln, which is 37.5% more than in the same period of 2007, the NAR Permanent Representation Office in Baku said.
Manufacturing of the products totalled 83.5% and services amounted to 16.5%. Production comprised 0.2%, processing 85.2%, and the enterprises engaged in production and distribution of power and water made up 14.6% in the industrial production field.
Private sector's share in the industrial field comprised AZN 24.3mln, the public sector - AZN 4.2mln.
In Jan, the number of people engaged in the industrial field in the NAR has reached 6,106, which is 18.7% more than in the same period of 2007. The average monthly wages of each employee rose by 26.7% and comprised AZN 153.9.
