Azerbaijan, Baku, 20 June / corr. Trend S.Babayeva / A large international conference on intellectual properties will be organized in Baku in July, Ramiz Hasanov, general director of the State Agency for standardization, metrology and patents, said on 20 June. 'Intellectual property and economic development' will be the topic of the conference.
"Everybody notices economic development in Azerbaijan, and we offered the Worldwide Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) to hold a conference in Baku," he said.
The Minister said that the conference would be held on 16-17 June with the participation of specialists from 50-60 countries.
The Azerbaijani State Agency on standardization, metrology and patents is a member of the WIPO since December 1995.
