Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 22 / Trend / At present Azerbaijani people have AZN 492.7mln deposits in the International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA), which is by 26.2% more than the figure early 2008, the IBA said on Dec. 22.
People's deposits rose by 10% or by AZN 42.6mln within the last five months and its growth made up 4% (AZN 18.8mln) from Nov. to Dec.
Urgent deposits amounted to AZN 344.9mln in a deposit portfolio of the IBA. Specific weight of deposits in the national currency made up 48%.
The IBA always offers not only new kinds of savings to its clients, but also improves acting services and creates attractive conditions to preserve money in deposits, the bank said. The bank's clients got income on their deposits in the amount of AZN 37.5mln within 11 months in 2008, which is 1.5 times more than the figure in 2007.
Line of urgent deposits of the IBA enables every client to select an optimum version of placement of their money, taking into consideration requirements for deposit: flexible terms ( from three months to five years),opportunity to get interests on deposit monthly or quarterly, depending on client's wish, as well as to hold expenditure operations, to capitalize interests, increasing income on deposit, prolongation of deposit without ingenuous visiting department of the bank, through Internet - banking and cash dispensers.
The exchange rate for US dollar is AZN 0.802 on Dec. 22.
