The delegation of the National Bank of Switzerland, headed by its chairman Jean-Pierre Rot, is on visit to Ashgabat, the national TV channel Altin Asir reported.
According to the program, the delegation was received at the Central Bank of the country, the Cabinet of Ministers and the Ministry of Finance. The topic of discussions was to build inter-bank cooperation in the context of the priorities of reforms implemented in the national economy of Turkmenistan and in particular its financial sector.
Since the establishment of diplomatic relations, Turkmenistan has gained 29 partners from Swiss companies, including the largest manufacturers and suppliers of textile equipment and chemical products.
Swiss non-resident ambassador to Turkmenistan is Alan Gidetti, handed over his credentials in April 2008.
