Over 640 kg of expired products withdrawn from sale in Azerbaijan

The State Consumer market Control Department under the Azerbaijani Economic Development ministry withdrew from sale more than 640 kg of expired products during its next monitoring in the consumer market, the ministry said on Aug.6.

The State Consumer market Control Department under the Azerbaijani Economic Development ministry withdrew from sale more than 640 kg of expired products during its next monitoring in the consumer market, the ministry said on Aug.6.

The ministry held monitoring in the Nasimi, Binagadi, Yasamal, Narimanov, Nizami districts of Baku and in Ganja and Zagatala cities.

The ministry withdrew expired products including sausages and confectionary, oil, milk, drinks, beer and etc. from the shops of these regions.

The ministry drew up acts on administrative violations towards 21 individuals and one legal entity.

Generally, after the Azerbaijani president's decree on amendments and additions to Administrative Violations Code dated May 17, 40 legal entities were fined in the amount of 156,500 manat and 252 individuals - 38,500 manat.

On Aug.6, the official exchange rate is 0.8041 manat to $1.
