Deliveries of Kazakh grain to Azerbaijan in 2010 increased by two times compared to last year, the Kazakh Ministry of Agriculture said.
"Last year supplies of Kazakh grain to Azerbaijan totaled 256,600 tons. But the volume of supplies totaled 547,800 tons in the first six months of 2010," the Ministry said.
At the same time, the national grain company "Food Contract Corporation" thinks that deliveries of Kazakh grain could have been even higher if Azerbaijan did not impose customs duty on imported grain in Azerbaijan to the amount of $ 100.
