Turkmenistan determined amount of row cotton feedstock: at present, about one million tons has been procured from an area of 550,000 hectares.
This year the weather was favorable for cotton, summer was good with a high positive temperature.
This year, 9 varieties of meddle-fibrous sorts were planted at the fields. The most widely-spread is well-established domestic "Yoloten-7".
Fine-fibre cotton is represented by four domestic sorts, which are planted on more than 27,000 hectares in the south - Mary and Akhal provinces.
Quality of the raw product is tested by employees of the State Service "Turkmenstandartlary".
