Azerbaijan ceases four pharmaceutical facilities’ activity

During the inspections conducted by the Azerbaijan Health Ministry, 5,974 boxes of medicines imported to Azerbaijan without the Health Ministry’s permission and without compliance certificate, and 110 boxes of expired drugs were seized, the Ministry’s official website reports.

During the inspections conducted by the Azerbaijan Health Ministry, 5,974 boxes of medicines imported to Azerbaijan without the Health Ministry's permission and without compliance certificate, and 110 boxes of expired drugs were seized, the Ministry's official website reports.

According to the report, the inspections were conducted from Aug.15 to Oct.1 in 103 drugstores throughout the country by the employees of the Department of Control over Medicine Quality of the Analytical Center for Medicine Expertise under the Health Ministry to verify compliance of the rules of pharmaceutical activity, purchasing, storage, sale and quality in accordance with the law of medicines and medical inventory.

Also four pharmaceutical facilities' activity was four suspended as they operated without a license for pharmaceutical activity, in connection with which the owners of these facilities were fined.
