The NGO Participants of the Property Market held expert monitoring on seasonal automobile market activity in Baku in September.

The NGO observed a sharp excess of demand over supply in September, which did not have a positive impact on the dynamics of transactions and prices.

The market recorded a 11.9-percent increase on the Baku automobile market in September at the expense of old cars. The trend of excess demand over supply also deepened.

The volume of car sales transactions also dropped. Meanwhile, the average price of vehicles remained unchanged at $14,985. The liquidity ratio also reached the lowest level in three years.

About 10,000 car were examined on Baku's secondary automobile market in September -- only 27.6 percent were offered in September, and the remaining 72.4 percent in recent months. This is linked with a decline in imports, a decrease in purchasing capacity and a sharp drop in demand.

The share of German Mercedes-Benz on the market - the Baku automobile market leader for the past three years - increased by 10.5 percent to 35.1 percent in September.

The share of the nine most popular brands accounted for 85.2 percent of the market.
