Head of Turkmen Senagat bank dismissed

Turkmen President Gurbangulu Berdimuhammedov signed a decree to dismiss the head of JSCB Senagat, Akmyrat Orazov, for serious shortcomings in the work, an official Turkmen source reported. The decision was taken at the recent governmental meeting
The bank's senior supervisors in the government also received severe reprimands for non-strict control over the activities of the subordinate organizations and shortcomings in the governance of the institutions of the banking system.
JSCB Senagat is one of the leading commercial banks in the country. It was founded in 1989 as OJSC.
The bank is engaged in computing in both national and foreign currency on the basis of the licenses issued by the Central Bank of Turkmenistan. It also develops lending programs, project financing and strengthens its position in the market economy.
