The Jordan-Azerbaijan cooperation has been successfully developing in recent years, Economic Development Minister Shahin Mustafayev said at the Jordanian-Azerbaijani business forum in Baku on Tuesday.

"I believe this business forum will give impetus to further expansion of the Jordan-Azerbaijan cooperation that is developing at an intense pace," he said. "The sides already signed several documents on investment promotion, development of the ICT sector and technical cooperation."

He said Azerbaijan's economy occupies 70 percent of the total economy of the South Caucasus. The country's construction sector grew by 20.3 percent in 2010 and by an overall 7.5 times in the past 10 years.

"Political cooperation between the two countries is at a very high level, and we develop it in other areas. All the necessary legal framework exists to this end and development of the missing documents is underway," he added.

Jordanian Industry and Trade Minister Hani Mulki said bilateral meetings between businessmen and organizations of the two countries will be arranged. This will give impetus to further development of the cooperation.
