Ashgabat and Kiev mentioned "the reasonability of implementing joint projects in various spheres in accordance with new economic realities and international standards, including the use of reciprocal investments".
This was mentioned in a joint statement on the development of friendly relations and cooperation between Turkmenistan and Ukraine. The statement was signed by the Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan and Viktor Yanukovych of Ukraine.
President of Ukraine has arrived in Ashgabat on an official visit.
The statement says that the sides "agreed that economic cooperation between the two countries has great potential and good prospects, and also expressed willingness to further expand partnership in trade and economic cooperation based on equality and mutual benefit".
