Uzbekistan reduces production of mineral fertilizers

The production of mineral fertilizers in Uzbekistan in January-September 2013 decreased by 11.4 per cent - to 846,500 tons, compared to the same period of 2012, according to Uzbekistan's State Committee on Statistics.

The production of nitrogen fertilizers also decreased by 13.4 per cent - up to 648,600 tons, whereas the production of phosphate fertilizers increased by 4.3 per cent - up to 122,000 tons, and production of potash fertilizer fell by 15 per cent - to 75,900 tons.

According to the Committee, the production of ammonium nitrate decreased from early 2013 by 14.4 per cent - to 1.132 million tons, carbamide production fell by 10.7 per cent - to 365,000 tons, production of ammonium sulfate increased by 10.2 per cent - up to 191,200 tons, superphosphate - by 11.1 per cent - to 67.9 million tons, suprefos - by 4.3 per cent, to 170,600 tons.

In 2012, the production of mineral fertilizers in Uzbekistan increased by 4.2 per cent - to 1.22 million tons, compared to 2011.
