Russia’s Sverdlovsk region, Iran’s Hamedan province discuss cooperation

By Fatih Karimov - Trend: Sverdlovsk region of Russia is ready to cooperate with Iran's Hamedan province in different economic fields.
In a meeting with officials of Hamedan province's chamber of industry and mine in Hamedan on Saturday, Alexander Petrov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of Sverdlovsk region, said Government of Sverdlovsk is ready to cooperate with Hamedan in different fields, Iran's ISNA news agency reported on May 25.
Some 10 percent of Russia's total natural resources are in Sverdlovsk region, he said, suggesting cooperation in the agriculture and rail industries.
Sverdlovsk Region takes the 18th place in Russia for area. It is on the 5th place for population. Sverdlovsk Region is one of the most urbanized regions with highly developed industry.
Hamedan is one of the 31 provinces of Iran. Its center is Hamedan city. The province of Hamedan covers an area of 19,546 square kilometers. The province has a population of over 1,820,000 million.
