Uzbek bank increases assets by 16.8%

Assets of the Uzbek Industrial and Construction Bank JSCB (JSCB Uzpromstroybank), Uzbekistan’s third biggest bank for its financial indicators, amounted to 10.309 trillion soums in 2016, as compared to 8.823 trillion soums in late 2015 (an increase of 16.8 percent), according to the bank’s audited report.

The bank’s assets were calculated in line with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

The bank’s loan portfolio rose by 20.4 percent and stood at 8.569 trillion soums in late 2016, as compared to 7.117 trillion soums in late 2015.

In 2016, Uzpromstroybank increased the volume of liabilities by 17.7 percent – from 8.036 trillion soums to 9.455 trillion soums in 2015.

Meanwhile, in 2016, the bank’s owned capital rose by 8.5 percent – up to 853.662 billion soums taking into account the authorized capital in the amount of 703.54 billion soums.

According to the report, net profit of Uzpromstroybank totaled 86.555 billion soums in 2016, as compared to 75.885 billion soums in 2015 (growth by 14.1 percent).

JSCB Uzpromstroybank was created in 1922 and re-registered in 1991.
