PASHA Life again leader in Azerbaijan’s insurance ranking

Premiums collected by Azerbaijan’s 10 major insurance companies totaled 363.99 million manats in January-September 2017, said the Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FIMSA).

The figure accounts for 87.8 percent of total insurance premiums collected during the reporting period.

PASHA Life insurance company ranks first in terms of the premiums collected in January-September 2017 with a share of 27.08 percent in the total amount.

PASHA Insurance ranks second in the list with 22.69 percent and is followed by Ateshgah Insurance – 6.72 percent.

Premiums collected by Azerbaijan’s insurance companies totaled 414.35 million manats in January-September 2017 that is 6.2 percent more than in the same period of 2016. Payment of insurance claims totaled 188.58 million manats in the reporting period that is 12.9 percent more than in the same period of 2016.

Twenty-two insurance companies operate in Azerbaijan.
