A new electronic trading platform Osonol.uz has been launched in Uzbekistan, which allows customers to make online purchases with possibility to deliver purchased goods to a given address in the country, the press service of the company announced.
The company is positioning the service as a local alternative to the US-based Amazon and the Chinese AliExpress. The press service of Osonol noted that the website is currently operating in a test mode, but consumers are already free to make purchases and order deliveries of goods.
“We set a goal to offer the same convenient and high-quality service for online purchases like Amazon or Aliexpress in Uzbekistan, but without the complexities that our customers encounter when buying goods abroad. In Osonol you can find the right product, read detailed description, compare prices and buy it online in just a few minutes”, - the message of the press service read.
The online store is currently offering a variety of products from household appliances and gadgets, to cosmetics and hygiene products.
Among the advantages of Osonol, the authors of the project noted the 24/7 uptime, courier service that allows delivery throughout Uzbekistan and seasonal 5-15-percent discounts.
In recent years, Uzbekistan has adopted a number of measures to change customs procedures to open the country's market for international companies like Amazon and AliExpress.
On the other hand, a number of restrictions on purchase of goods abroad have been imposed, which, however, according to experts, will not affect online purchases that much.
