Remittances in Kazakhstan via money transfer systems increase fourfold

Remittances within Kazakhstan via money transfer systems amounted to 43.7 billion tenge in January-July 2018, which is four times more than in the same period last year, according to ranking.kz website.

At the same time, the number of transactions grew only 1.5 times.

The Zolotaya Korona money transfer system ranks first in terms of money transfers within Kazakhstan - 14.3 billion tenge, which is almost six times more than a year ago.

Zolotaya Korona is followed by the Faster system - 2.1 billion tenge, which is 42.6 percent less than last year.

In turn, the Faster system is followed by Western Union - 1.7 billion tenge, which is 4.8 percent less than a year earlier.

Zolotaya Korona also ranks first in terms of the number of transactions – 86,800, which is 8.5 times more than in January-July 2017.

Faster accounts for 23,600 transactions, which is 46.9 percent less than last year.

This is while Western Union accounts for 4,700 transactions, which is 20.3 percent less than a year earlier.
