Since 2005 until the first quarter of 2018, the gross inflow of direct investments from Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan amounted to $232.5 million, the Ministry for Investments and Development of Kazakhstan told Trend.
The ministry said that since 2005 until the first quarter of 2018, the gross outflow of direct investments from Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan amounted to $38.2 million.
“As of Sept. 1, 2018, 991 legal entities, branches and representative offices of companies with Azerbaijani capital were registered in Kazakhstan, 447 of which are operating,” the ministry said.
Presently, the Agreement on the Promotion and Mutual Protection of Investments, which was signed Sept. 16, 1996 in Baku and entered into force April 30, 1998, is in effect between the government of Kazakhstan and the government of Azerbaijan.
