Some 20,800 tenders were held in Ankara and Istanbul in 2018, Turkey's government privatization organization told Trend.
Around 11,500 tenders were held in Ankara, which is 28,000 tenders less than in 2017, said the report.
"Some 686 tenders were held in construction sector, 7042 - in goods procurement, 3759 - in the service sector, 32 - to attract consulting services," the report said.
Around 9,300 tenders were held in Istanbul, which is 18,700 tenders less than in 2017.
According to the report, 2195 tenders were held in construction sector, 15973 - for the procurement of goods, 9855 - in the service sector, 82 - for attracting consulting services.
Around 56,000 tenders were carried out in Turky in the first half of 2018, by 7,800 companies.
