The gypsum manufacturing plant began operating in Kazakhstan’s Inderbor settlement of Atyrau region, Trend reports citing Kazinform.
"The factory will manufacture gypsum rock and a line of mortars, and exports of the products is planned. The high quality of raw materials with the gypsum concentration equaling to 94 percent, the proximity of the quarry and the availability of the railway deadlock are the factors that make the cost of the manufactured product very competitive on the market,” the report says.
A number of countries such as Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan have expressed the interest in acquiring the product.
The agreement on the purchase of the plant product has also been reached with Turkish companies operating in Kazakhstan.
Some 82 people are to be employed at the factory.
