Turkmen company Hojalyk harytlary plans to start producing stoves using European technologies, Trend reports via "Neutral Turkmenistan" newspaper.
These include gas stoves with electric ignition function and electric stoves with ovens, as well as combined models and grill ovens.
Entrepreneurs plan to produce annually up to 6,000 gas, electric and combined stoves that can successfully compete with foreign rivals on the market.
The company organized the assembly of products from components from Turkey and purchased equipment to produce various parts by itself.
In addition to gas and electric stoves, in the near future it is planned to manufacture kitchen appliances and vacuum cleaners.
As part of a state program for the production of import-substituting products in Turkmenistan, it is planned to build enterprises for the production of construction, chemical, household and other products based on local raw materials.
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has previously noted that the government of Turkmenistan is forecast to continue its efforts to reduce inflation, maintaining a fixed exchange rate and administrative price controls, supporting import substitution and restricting currency conversion.
