New textile production to be launched in Uzbekistan

It is planned to start production of shoes made of ostrich leather at the Straus farm enterprise in the Fergana region of Uzbekistan, Trend reports citing Sputnik Uzbekistan.
"Our farm is considered the largest in Central Asia. There are 250 ostriches on the farm," manager of the enterprise Hasanboy Akhmadjonov said at the exhibition within the framework of the International Investment Forum in Fergana.
He demonstrated shoes made of ostrich leather, which was made at the factories of Fergana and Tashkent.
"Next year we plan to import equipment for leather processing and start production. The advantage of this shoe is that it is made of genuine leather. It is comfortable and legs do not sweat in it," Akhmadzhonov said.
Earlier Trend reported that as part of the International Investment Forum, an agreement was reached between the Uzbek-South Korean joint venture UzSungwoo and the automobile plant LLC PSMA Rus in the Kaluga Region of Russia for the supply of 52 stamped parts.
