Lezzet Gida biscuit factory located in Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic has begun developing new types of confectionery, a source in the factory told Trend Oct. 22.

This includes production of new types of cookies, according to the source.

“There are plans to complete the development of varieties of biscuit products before the end of this year, so that at the beginning of next year we would enter the market with updated product varieties,” the source noted. “At the same time, there are plans to introduce another line for packing pistachios and almonds in packages of various weight. From January through September 2019, the production volumes of the factory compared to last year’s indicators have grown slightly. However, given the growing demand in the domestic market in the conditions of fierce competition, the factory is developing mechanisms to increase production capacity 1.5 times, by the end of this year.”

The products of Lezzet Gida biscuit factory have a certificate of conformity from Azerbaijan’s State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents.
