UK business eyes to invest in Kazakhstan's economy

A visit of British investors is expected in Kazakhstan’s Turkestan region in order to strengthen trade and economic relation between Kazakhstan and the United Kingdom, Trend reports with reference to regional akimat (administrative center).

This was announced within the framework of Kazakhstan Global Investment Forum 2019 held in London, during which issues of trade and economic relations development, as well as region’s investment opportunities were discussed.

As it was noted during the event, currently Turkestan region is one of the fast developing regions of Kazakhstan that is distinguished by investments attractiveness to both local and foreign investors.

The Turkestan region’s delegation was headed by Deputy Governor of the region Meirzhan Myrzaliyev.

According to Myrzaliyev, Turkestan region provides a number of privileges for investors, which are aimed at creation of favorable conditions and attraction of investments into the region.

Delegation held over 25 meetings with leading corporate investors in the areas of agriculture, construction, tourism and renewable energy sources.

Furthermore, agreement with Financial Times newspaper has been reached for further development of cooperation and implementation of projects in the region.
