Big Iranian companies produced 27.6 million tons of iron ore concentrate from March 21 through October 22 of this Iranian year (beginning on March 21, 2019), Trend reports referring to the website of the Iran Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
The production of big Iranian companies increased by four percent from March 21 through October 22 of this year compared to the same period of last year. Some 26.6 million tons were produced in the same period of last year.
Gol-E-Gohar Iron Ore Company produced 9.3 million tons of iron ore concentrate, Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company - 5 million tons, Middle East Mines & Mineral Industries Development Holding Company - 3 million tons, Iran Central Iron Ore Company - 2.8 million tons, Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company - 2.5 million tons.
Opal Persian Sangan Industrial & Mining Company produced 1.7 million tons of iron ore concentrate, National Industrial and Mining Development Company (NIMID) - 1.2 million tons, Sabanour Mining and Industrial Development Company – 556,000 tons, Jalalabad Iron Ore Complex - 292,000 tons.
Five big mining companies produced about 2.7 million tons of iron ore gravels from March 21 through October 22, which is 40 less compared to the same period of last year (4.5 million tons).
Sabanour Mining and Industrial Development Company produced 1.33 million tons of iron ore gravels, Iranian Central Plateau Iron Ore Mines Complex – 531,000 tons, Iran Central Iron Ore Company - 335,000 tons, Sangan Iron Ore Complex – 247,400 tons, Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company – 269,000 tons.
Iran's six big iron ore pellet manufacturers (Chadormalu, Gol-E-Gohar, Middle East Mines & Mineral Industries Development Holding Company, Opal Persian Sangan Industrial & Mining Company, Sangan Steel Mining Company, Sabanour Mining and Industrial Development Company) produced 15.6 million tons of iron ore pellets from March 21 through October 22 of this Iranian year, which is two percent less compared to the same period of last year (15.9 million tons).
