The inflation rate reached 19.8 percent in the first month of this Iranian year (from March 20 through April 19, 2020) compared to the same month of last Iranian year, Trend reports referring to the Iranian Statistical Center’s report.
In accordance with the report, families spent an average of 19.8 percent more on some products and services.
During the first month, the price index in the groups of food, beverages and tobacco products decreased by 3.9 percent and reached 24 percent while in the non-food and services sector decreased by 1.0 percent and reached 24.7 percent.
