Kazakhstan, France trade turnover down by half

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and France amounted to $430.5 million over first two months of 2020 compared to $910.6 million during the same period of 2019, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

The share of France in total value of Kazakhstan’s trade turnover was 3.1 percent during the reporting period of 2020 compared to 6.3 percent during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export to France amounted to $359.1 million over the period from January through February 2020 compared to $829.5 million during the same period of 2019.

France’s share in total volume of Kazakhstan’s export amounted to 4 percent during the reporting period of 2020, compared to 8.4 percent during the same period of 2019.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s import from France amounted to $71.3 million over the first two months of 2020 compared to $81.01 million during the same period of 2019.

France’s total share in Kazakhstan’s import was 1.5 percent during the reporting period of 2020 compared to 1.8 percent during the same period of 2019.

Total volume of Kazakhstan’s trade turnover amounted to $13.7 billion in the period from January through February 2020 which indicates a decrease from $14.3 billion during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export amounted to $9.08 billion during the reporting period of 2020 ($9.9 billion in the same period of 2019), whereas import amounted to $4.6 billion ($4.4 billion).
