Turkey purchases base oils, cotton yarn at Turkmen State Commodity Exchange

Turkey was an active participant in the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan in July 2020, Trend reports with reference to exchange’s data.

In the first week of July, Turkey purchased base oils, cotton yarn and dry licorice root extract from Turkmenistan.

During the second week of July, Turkey purchased smooth-dyed and jacquard terry products, denim and cotton yarn from Turkmenistan.

Jacquard terry products, as well as cotton yarn, were also purchased by Turkey on the stock exchange of Turkmenistan during exchange in the third week of July.

As for the last week of July, Turkey bought cotton yarn.

Turkey also actively participated in the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan in June 2020.

In total, transactions in the amount of more than $57.8 million were registered on the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan in June.

During the reporting period, the country has registered transactions both for foreign currency and for Turkmen manat. In particular, transactions worth more than $73,369 were made in foreign currency and more than 202.3 million for Turkmen manat ($57.7 million).

The state commodity exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important agency of state regulation of export-import operations.
