Georgian tea producing company Manna to bring new product to market

Georgian tea-producing company Manna will bring a new product - fruit tea to the market by the end of 2020, Trend reports via Georgian media.

As director of the company, Irakli Gurchumelia noted, tea will be sold with teabags.

Currently, the company produces 10 types of tea and imports raw materials from Guria and Samegrelo.

The tea Manna is presented in nearly every large trading centers.

According to the director of the company, 60 percent of the sales came from exports, which included European countries, Russia, and Ukraine.

"COVID-19 caused several problems in exporting, however, we are trying to get closer to the export index of the period before the pandemic. The negotiations are underway with Canada too," noted Gurchumelia.

Processing and packaging enterprise for agricultural products, Manna has been functioning since 2017. Its production capacity is 8 tons of tea a month, which is 30-40 percent of the full load.
