The raw steel production of the Iran’s Mobarakeh Steel Company increased by 8 percent during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 20, 2020), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran.
According to the report, the Mobarakeh Steel Company produced 5.73 million tons of raw steel in 8 months. While in the same period last Iranian year, this figure amounted to 5.3 million tons.
“The pellets production of the Mobarakeh Steel Company increased by 9.9 percent over the reporting period, compared to the same period last Iranian year,” the report said.
The company produced 4.95 million tons of pellets in eight months. However, 4.5 million tons of pellets were produced in the same period last Iranian year, the report said.
According to the report, the Mobarakeh Steel Company produced 6.13 million tons of sponge iron within 8 months. This is an increase of 14.3 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. Thus, 5.36 million tons of sponge iron were produced in the same period last Iranian year.
“Furthermore, the company produced 1.08 million tons of cold rolled steel sheet over the first 8 months. The production increased by 0.5 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, this figure was 1.07 million tons in the same period last Iranian year,” the report said.
