An Iranian automobile manufacturer, Pars Khodro Co. announced a 10 percent growth in production during the last 9 months of the current Iranian year (started on March 20) compared to the same period last year.

"So far, more than 77,000 vehicles have been produced by the company, which has increased by about 10 percent compared to the same period last year," Shahriar Tahmasebi, the Pars Khodro company’s deputy for engineering affairs told Trend in an interview.

Referring to the policy of strengthening domestic manufacturing of imported auto parts, he said that "Different cars are different according to the amount of using domestic produced car parts. But currently, with the production of domestic cars of Saipa Automotive Group in Pars Khodro Company, more than 85 percent of the used parts are domestic made."

Referring to the Pars Khodro's cooperation with foreign countries in the field of joint investment and production, Tahmasebi said that no special negotiations will take place due to the sanctions and until the order of the Ministry of Industry and Saipa Automotive Group.

Considering that Pars Khodro is a subset of Saipa Automotive Group, he says that “All foreign negotiations and contracts will be done through Saipa Company.”
