Exports from Iran's Hamadan Province increases

The exports from the Hamadan Province (western Iran) increased by 18 percent in terms of value during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 20 through November 20, 2020), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Chairman for Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of the Hamadan Province, Hamid Reza Matin said, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.

The chairman noted that 339,000 tons of goods worth $89 million were exported from the Hamadan Province over the reporting period.

“While in the same period last Iranian year, $5.5 million worth of goods have been exported from the province,” he added.

According to Matin, the exported goods were mainly industrial, agricultural, petrochemical, mining and handicraft products and these products were exported to 36 countries.

The chairman stressed that chemicals and petrochemical products accounted for 55 percent of Hamadan province's total exports. So, a total of $49.5 million worth of were exported within 8 months.

He also said that $18.2 million worth of industrial and food products worth were exported in eight months. Water conditioner, milk powder, cement, tomatoes were the most exported products.

Matin emphasized that $4.25 million worth of mining products were exported in eight months of the current Iranian year, and the ferro-silicon was the most exported product.

“As many as 24 types of agricultural products were exported. The value of exported agricultural products amounted to $17 million, and the raisin was the most exported product,” he said.

The chairman noted that in addition, 3,700 tons of goods worth $12 million were imported to Hamadan province during the reporting period.
