The governor of Iran`s West Azerbaijan Province said the investment in tourism, agriculture, maintenance of Urmia lake, and mining are the priorities of the province.
A meeting to review the investment capacity of the Execution of Imam Khomeini's Order (EIKO) in West Azerbaijan Province was held on Thursday night with the presence of the Governor of the province, the head of Barekat Charity Foundation, and the deputy head of Execution of Imam Khomeini's Order (EIKO), Trend reports citing IRNA.
Referring to the plan to accelerate the development process of the province through job creation and elimination of deprivation, Mohammad Mehdi Shahriari the governor of West Azerbaijan said that the Execution of Imam Khomeini's Order (EIKO) invests $476 million in this province.
The Deputy Head of Execution of Imam Khomeini's Order (EIKO) Aref Norouzi announced reaching a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the investment of the projects of the province within less than a month.
“This foundation has invested 2,175 projects in West Azerbaijan Province since 2018 with a credit of $89 million. 80% of the foundation's activities are focused on job creation and economic empowerment,” the head of Barekat Charity Foundation AmirHossein Madani said during the meeting.
He referred to the construction of 220 classrooms, helping the prosperity of 17 medium-sized manufacturing units, and the construction of 45 mosques as the activities of the foundation in the province.
