Iran’s major mining companies boost exports

The exports of Iran's major mining companies increased by 90.8 percent in value and 9.5 percent in volume, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through December 21, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing IRNA.

According to the report, Iran's major mining companies exported 42.2 million tons of various minerals and related products worth about $9.5 billion.

The exports of steel and related products for 9 months amounted to $5.28 billion, which accounts for 55.6 percent of total mining exports.

In addition, $1.4 billion worth of copper and related products were exported within the mentioned period.

Also, more than 3 million tons of minerals and mining products worth $2.69 billion were imported to Iran in 9 months, which is increase of 11.4 percent in value and 0.8 percent in volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year.

The most imported products for nine months were steel and related products and amounted to $916 million.
