TEHRAN, Iran, April 4. Iran's trade with China
has increased due to the rise in oil prices, the Chairman of the
Iran-China Joint Chamber of Commerce Majid Reza Hariri told
Trend.
"The statistics show Iran's trade with China had increased 40
percent in last year (started March 21, 2021). Although due to the
sanctions, the costs have increased too," he stressed.
He went on to say that Iranian diplomats should keep looking for
alternative solutions for Iran's non-oil exports.
According to the official, the increase in basic material prices
has considerably affected Iran's non-oil export.
The rising oil price will consequently increase the value of
petrochemical products and condensate, he said.
Iran's export to China has been on the rise. Iran's trade with
China in 2020 stood at $16 billion, reaching $23 billion in
2021.
The trade statistics for 2022 have not been published, but the
trade has increased due to the rise in Iran's oil exports.
International organizations and Iran as well, have confirmed that
Iran's oil export to China has increased.
