Value of Iran’s imports via Kermanshah Province’s customs surpasses $5M

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 25. As many as 653 tons of goods worth approximately $5.69 million were imported through the customs of Iran’s Kermanshah Province, during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through June 21, 2023), an official of the Kermanshah Province Customs Office Ali Asghar Abbaszadeh said, Trend reports.

Abbaszadeh added that the imports through the province’s customs for the reporting period increased by 48 percent in value while decreasing by 78 percent in volume compared to the same period in the last Iranian year.

The official added that the main imported goods were various kinds of equipment, including, diesel generators, catalysts, etc.

There are 2 border checkpoints and 5 border markets in Kermanshah Province of Iran.

Overall, Iran imported 4.73 million tons of goods worth $7.94 billion within the first 2 months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2022).

This is a decrease of 4.79 percent in value and 8.7 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
