State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan plans to issue Azeri-Russian book of statistical indices of economic development in the countries, Trend reports quoting Meri Gardashkhanova, head of statistic information with State Statistics Committee.
Comparison of statistic data of Azerbaijan and Russia is based on agreement for cooperation between statistical agencies of the two countries. It will cover the period from 2000 through 2005. Gardashkhanova visited Moscow for the next stage of conversations.
Head of State Statistics Committee Arif Veliyev says that indices of Azerbaijans and Russian economy are incomparable, but industry indices will be distributed per capita, which enables making a comparison. Azerbaijans population today exceeds 8mln people, and that of Russia 145mln people.
Up to now State Statistics committee issued a statistics book for South Caucasus under ECs TACIS program.
