The Azerbaijan Agriculture Ministry has prepared a Draft-Agreement on Cooperation in the Agriculture Sphere with Morocco, a source in the Ministry told Trend.
The document covering almost all directions of the agriculture sphere has been agreed by all the coordinating State Agencies and approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
The document has been submitted to Morocco for further consideration, the source in the State Body said.
The agreement on the preparation of the agreement on cooperation between the two countries was reached during the visit of Mohand Lansa, the Minister of Rural Areas Development, and Fishery Minister of the Kingdom of Morocco in August, 2006. During the meeting, a wide spectrum of issues of the agriculture sphere was discussed. The possibility on planting citrus and olive gardens in Azerbaijani regions, development of cooperating in cattle farming between the two countries, as well as conducting joint scientific studies and researches were considered during the negotiations as well.
The Moroccan Minister invited Ismat Abbasov, Azerbaijan Agriculture Minister to visit Morocco with the aim of more concrete determination of forthcoming cooperation between the two countries.
