Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend , corr. I. Khalilova/ Consulting Company, Zygon Caspian Consulting (ZCC) is expected to provide consultation services for improving the quality of management in some Azerbaijani construction companies in 2007. It will take place for the first time, since the launch of the activity of ZCC in Azerbaijan in 2003. Natig Aghazadeh, the Director General of the Company, has said today that to date, two agreements have been signed between ZCC and "Azerkorpu" and "AKKORD" (Accord).
The certification of "Azerkorpu" in accordance with management system quality standards - ISO 9001:2000 is expected to be completed in May 2007, and "AKKORD" - by the end of November 2007.
According to Mr. Aghazadeh, consultation services to meet international standards and requirements usually endure 7-8 months. Trainings are held within the mentioned agreements.
The necessity in introducing the international standards lies in the fact that Azerbaijani companies are gradually expanding the scope of their activities, including beyond Azerbaijani borders; "Azerkorpu" is a perfect example. The company has been involved in the project on extending the International Sea Trade Port of Aktau in the establishment of a special economic zone. In addition to Kazakhstan, the company is also currently implementing some orders in neighbouring Georgia.
"AKKORD", in its turn, has been involved in the construction of bridges and housing quarters all over the country.
